In the South of Norway we sort and recycle our garbage!

SORTING STARTS IN THE KICTHEN:

All those who live in student housing units are obligated to follow the rules of waste disposal in the South of Norway.
Waste disposal costs SiA quite a lot during the course of a year, especially if waste has to be removed more often than normal because of residents not sorting their garbage properly.

The items listed below must be sorted properly:

  • Plastic 
  • Cardboard and paper 
  • Glass and metal 
  • Food 
  • Misc.

Please rinse and fold milk cartons, flatten cardboard boxes so that they take up as little space as possible in the container.

Take the garbage from shared kitchen out to the designated areas by your building, at least twice a week. This is to avoid the development of bad smell and flies.

RECYCLING STATION IN TELE STUDENTBY - GRIMSTAD

Consists of 5 buried containers – 2 for misc. garbage, 1 for cardboard/paper, 1 for plastic and 1 for glass/metal. This contributes to a more tidy and pleasant environment.
