The housekeeper is responsible for all cleaning, inspection of the apartment when residents move out, as well as waste disposal. Before you move out, you must obtain the information on how to clean before you leave. You will find all this information on our website, and you can print out the checklist during the procedure or termination.
When leaving put the key in a SiA-envelope - you find these at SiA office, Sørbok and Spicheren.
SiA will check the room after you have turned in the key and left. If the housekeeper finds the cleaning insufficient or unsatisfactory, you will receive an sms with an oportunity to clean it one more time within noon next day. Otherwise you will be fined NOK 75 per square meter.
Cleaning of the shared kitchen is the students’ responsibility. In addition to this, SIA does a thorough cleaning of the kitchens twice a year. This costs NOK 200 per resident, each time, and is mandatory for those who share the kitchen. The amount is added to the rent invoice.
If the cleaning of the kitchen is insufficient or unsatisfactory, each resident sharing the kitchen will be billed NOK 500. This will cover the cost of hiring a cleaning agency to do the job. All residents living in units with shared kitchen must pay this fee, if the cleaning is not done properly.
The housekeeper is available Monday through Friday, from 09.00 to 15.00.
